Ana Paula Oliveira bio

Ana Paula Oliveira born May 26th, 1978 Campinas Sao Paulo Brazil. Woman on Top (2000), Sem Fio (2009), and A Indomada (1997) are among her best-known films. Ana Paula Oliveira joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime on March 20, 2020. She is the manager of the Assassination Witness as well as a member of GI-TOC's Multilateral Engagement team. Within her position with GI TOC, she focuses on disappearances, assassinations - and violence of other types in the context of illicit economics. The research area she is interested in is the effect of organized crime on policy, law and laws relating with human rights. Ana Paula received an LL.M.cum laude degree with a major in International Law, from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She also holds an LL.M. in Public Law, as well as an MBA in international relations at Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Ana Paula is a graduate from her school at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with the degree of magnacum laude in Legal Sciences and Social Sciences. She is a lawyer by training and worked for 4 years at the public law litigation company. She has also held assisting positions at non-governmental organisations that are based within Rio de Janeiro, and Geneva.
