Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best known for the roles she played on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress also known as producer and director. She works in television and film. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received numerous awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include the Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her career in movies, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her work in television she has been praised for her part as a regular character on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
